Sammy Ferrante is a Lighting Designer based in New York City. She designs for live events, immersive, television, and theater. Sammy has worked at such institutions as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre, and The Public Theater. She has been a television Lighting Director for news programs such as CNN, Bloomberg, and Yahoo Finance. Sammy hates scary movies, but loves designing scary lighting, such as working for many years on Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. Sammy is an alum of Emerson College and is also a proud union member of IATSE USA 829. When not designing, Sammy enjoys being out in nature and making homemade fig jam, from her fig tree.
